Smood blends “smooth” and “mood”— capturing the moment when premium textures and effortless silhouettes
naturally align with the wearer’s own rhythm.
Created by brand director Haruto Kida, Smood was born from a desire to build a space
where athletes who push themselves every day can connect, resonate, and express who they are beyond competition.
At the heart of Smood is consistency of mood.
On days when everything flows, and on days when it doesn’t—
you stay grounded in your own standards,
quietly aligning your mind and movement as you go.
Smood designs daily wear that supports that way of living—
refined, comfortable, and true to your core.
A brand that lets athletes express themselves
freely, confidently, and in genuine Smood style.
OUR VISION

Greetings
Haruto Kida
Hello everyone. My name is Haruto Kida. I am a professional rugby player currently representing the Kubota Spears Funabashi Tokyo Bay, as well as the Japan National Team. My background is a little unconventional. I grew up dedicated to Kyokushin karate and became a world junior champion. The discipline, mental strength, and resilience I built through martial arts became the foundation on which I later transitioned to rugby in high school. After pursuing excellence in two very different sports, I earned the honor of wearing the Japan national jersey. Karate and rugby—two completely different arenas—have taught me the importance of relentless curiosity, the ability to take decisive action in the face of challenges, and the value of teamwork that respects individual strengths. I believe these principles hold universal value in the world of business as well. With this in mind, I have decided to take on a new challenge: bringing the perspective and experience of a current athlete into the business field and contributing to society by creating new value. Just as I do on the field, I will approach each opportunity with integrity and give my full commitment as we work toward shared goals. Thank you very much for your continued support. Haruto Kida
